Buyer's tools and checklists
A test-drive checklist for northern Alberta, questions to ask before you sign, and links to your rights as an Alberta vehicle buyer.

Practical checklists you can bring to the dealership, whether you're shopping with us or anyone else.
Northern test-drive checklist
- Drive it on gravel or a rough road if you can, not just smooth pavement.
- Try the heater, defrost, heated seats and heated steering wheel.
- Ask which drive system it has, whether it has a low range, and how the drive modes work.
- Check what tires are on it. Are they winter, all-weather or all-season?
- For a plug-in, ask about charging cables, charge times and preconditioning.
- Check for a block heater cord, if the vehicle has one.
